If you are looking for a pet for a child or adult the hedgehog is the best. Even though they do have quills they are very loving and easy to maintain. After our females give birth they are not rebred for 2 months so they are not overbred. Our adults get health checkups regularly. We do not breed for color but for temperment. Babies are weaned by their mothers at around 6 weeks old.
Deposits
You may place a deposit to hold a hedgehog. The deposit is 50.00 and comes off of price of hedgie. We now usually have babies available or just waiting to wean. If we don't have a color you prefer you can place a deposit to hold the next available baby in the color you want.I hold a baby 7 days for your deposit to reach me.After 7 days the baby will be sold to someone else.
When your deposit reaches me I notify you by email that I have recieved it and your name is placed on my list. I always try to give you the color you want. but no always the sex since there is no temperment difference. Our babies are sold as pet only and I will not sell pairs.
You can pay your deposit by money order or cashiers check. We have recently added paypal so you can send your deposit to glidermomexotics@hotmail.com We do not take personal checks.
The only thing that might come up when the litter is born that a salt and pepper female had all cinnamon or albinos and everyone wanted salt and pepper. I then notify you the situation and give you the choice of what was born or you can wait on next available. I will also offer you your deposit back. That is the only circumstance that I will refund a deposit. Depoits are nonrefundable if you change your mind to purchase the baby. I only hold a baby 10 days after weaning date and then the babies goes back up for sale. If there are alot of babies and your baby arrives and you are not ready for it then I will give you he option to wait for another litter but you are placed at the bottom of list.. I try my best to work with you as long as you contact me. If I send several emails and do not here from you then after the 10 days after weaning you will then loose your depsoit.
Pickup/Delivery
You have 10 days from the date the baby weans to schedule a time with me to pick your baby up or make some type of arrangements. After 10 days the baby goes back up for sale. I will not email you or call you over and over to make these arrangements although I do send 3 emails, 3 days in a row to try to get ahold of you and will try to call you. Sometimes a baby may come available sooner if someone did not pick up a baby or a deposit was not recieved. It is your responsability to contact me weekly to see what is going on with your baby.
Pickups are by appointment only
I am exspecting a baby and I am home more for pickups and deliveries. I hope this helps in everyone getting there baby. Weekend pickups are usually Saturday and Sunday from 12-3 central time.
I will be happy to meet your or deliver your baby if my schedule permits me. With gas prices where they are this service is not cheap.

Shipping
Starting 5-7-09 We will start shipping our babies (hedgehogs only..no primates)
Shipping is available to all US states. Weather permitting. We will not ship if it is to cold or to hot. I will try to use American Airlines when I can. I have used them before and I am most impressed with their care of animals on a flight. They are kept in a climate controlled container during flight. There is a charge for me to take baby to airport because it is a 4 hr. drive.
Price includes: flight, pet taxi, health certificate, transporting of baby to airport.
